CHIMENTO CONTEMPORARY

The gallery will present four 30 x 24 inch paintings from Prieto's 2015 Hat Dance Series. In Hat Dance, Prieto continued a line of inquiry begun in her work in the mid-90’s, redefining the parameters of figurative abstraction and the role of viewer participation in the completion of a painting through a playful narrative minimalism. Prieto will be presenting a new body of work in September 2017.
